Artist's Biography
Born in Newmarket in 1983, Beckie Reed studied painting at Loughborough University from 2001- 2004. She lives in Ely and is constantly inspired by
her East Anglian surroundings. Another favourite subject is the cathedral-like grandeur of Californian redwoods. She says, ‘I usually work from photos, sometimes taking parts from several and merging them. I enjoy painting expressive washes but also love painting small concentrated detailed areas. By having the two side by side, I hope to create lively canvases full of visual contrast.’
